The landmark events when the Landscape ecology took  one among few possible directions of its development as well as the trajectories of European and North American Landscape ecology development, and the essence of modern Landscape ecology are discussed.   The article is written under the support of the Research Fund of the Hankuk University of Foreign Studies  (South Korea).

Probing the dynamics of changes of these components and  development of PAGS, it is possible to design and forecast different variants them subsequent functioning in  the affected of dangerous technogenic objects zones, to determine ecological risks, regulating safety  and  limits of ecological and economic parameters which will become basis for the geoekological districting of  territories with a purpose of their ecological evaluation.
